Ron Fountaine is a practising artist, teacher and speaker, specialising in portraiture in oils and pastel but also adept in watercolors and in other subjects from landscape to professional cartooning.   For seventeen years he has been a major instructor on board many of the world's most beautiful cruise ships,   As a result, Ron's talks and workshops are concise, efficient and entertaining.

"I learned more in two weeks (often only six sessions) with you Ron, than I learned in three years at art school" became a  mantra so often repeated over these years at sea.    And similar comments  were forthcoming from 'students ' who attended Ron's hotel based courses around Britain.  Ron is always happy to receive queries re commissions, talks or tuition.

A full day of instruction with demonstrations and hands on activities in which I aim to improve your drawing skills out of sight! Complete beginners will be amazed and improvers will be delighted in what they learn from 10am to 4.30pm in the big, bright suite at Glossop Cricket Club. Plenty of parking and right near the train station and bus terminus.
